Milan tavern to raise funds for teacher battling breast cancer

(MILAN, Ind.) – A Milan tavern will host their unique annual fundraiser this coming weekend. 

The fourth annual Body Slam Breast Cancer Jello Wrestling Competition will take place at DJ’s Tavern on Main. 

It is a women’s jello fight and all of the funds will support a local woman who is battling breast cancer. 

The funds will go to Katie Albright who was diagnosed in August with an aggressive breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes, according to the tavern.

Albright is a single mom to three children and works in Special Education at Central Elementary at Lawrenceburg. 

The Jello Wrestling event has an entry fee of $25 and a grand prize of $500. It takes place at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 3.
