(MILAN, Ind.) – Three Milan High School students spent their snow days shoveling properties for people around town.
Bishop Horner, Carson Ellis and Aiden Davis did a total of 18 jobs and admit they were pretty sore after the second day of work.
“It was easy for the first couple of days and it got harder as we went on plus there were more people that asked us to do their properties,” Carson said.
They appreciated the compliments they received and were happy to help out their neighbors around town.
“Some people don’t have the time because of work or other reasons to shovel for an hour or two,” Bishop said. “We should always use our youth to help the older people in our free time.”
Carson added, “Get out and help people because you never know when its going to come back to you. Like my old health teacher said, pay it forward and help somebody out because it will make its way back to you.”
The Milan 54 Museum was among the 18 jobs they completed this week.
