Miller-York Fire receives $1,000 DCF grant

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) is gifting a $1,000 grant to the Miller-York Volunteer Fire Department.

It's part of DCF’s annual initiative where each board member selects an organization that can benefit from the grant .

DCF board member Linda Gellert felt the fire department was a worthy recipient of the gift.

“This donation will help with the general needs of the fire department. The donation is in sincere appreciation for the all-volunteer fire department serving the needs of a large rural area,” said Gellert.

Formed in 1960, Miller-York Volunteer Fire Department serves Miller, York and Logan townships. Its headquartered is in Guilford.

The department relies on the dedication and selflessness of its volunteers, who contribute their time and skills to ensure the well-being of their community.
