Minor flooding reports in Ripley Co. following heavy rains

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – There are a handful of high water areas following the rain and downpours last night. 

The rain did prompt a Flood Watch due to concerns of rising creeks and streams. 

In Ripley County, there have been some flooding reports at the following locations this morning. 

• Near the intersection of U.S. 50 and S.R. 129 

• South Friendship Road near East County Road 375 South

• Old State Road 350 near North County Road 800 East near Moores Hill

• South State Road 129 near Olean Road

Looking ahead, Saturday will feature overcast skies and there will be a chance of rain on Sunday and Memorial Day.
