MMH announces new revenue cycle strategy, impacting 55 jobs

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Margaret Mary Health is making significant changes to its revenue cycle operations by agreeing to a long-term partnership with Revology.

MMH said the decision comes after more than a year of evaluating different models and vendors in an effort to improve the hospital's financial performance, accuracy and future stability.

The transition will impact 55 current MMH employees who have each been offered a position with Revology.

“This partnership gives us the resources and technology we need to grow, but at the heart of this transition is our people. Our revenue cycle team members have been — and will continue to be — essential to our organization,” said Liz Leising, President and CEO of MMH.

Leising added that the Revology partnership is designed to support the current employees, not replace them.

MMH said the shift is not a cost-reduction strategy but rather an opportunity to improve the tools, technology and expertise needed to thrive in an increasingly complex reimbursement environment.

“As billing requirements, payer rules and administrative burdens continue to evolve, hospitals nationwide are struggling to keep pace using internal resources alone. By partnering with Revology, MMH will gain access to advanced analytics, automation, workflow tools and specialized teams that would be costly and difficult to replicate internally,” the hospital stated.

The Revology partnership is expected to improve clean-claim rates, reduce denials, enhance billing accuracy, accelerate payment cycles and create more predictable financial performance.

Leising added that the change prepares MMH for long-term success and will allow the hospital to continue investing in clinical staff, expanding services, modernizing equipment and ensuring high-quality care for patients.

“Investing in the right partners and the right tools ensures we can continue to provide high-quality care, support our employees and meet the needs of our growing community,” Leising said.

The transition is expected to take place in March as MMH and Revology will continue working closely to ensure a smooth transition for the impacted team members.
