(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – An Ohio teenager was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-74 in West Harrison on Friday morning.
The accident happened around 7:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes near the 170-mile marker.
ISP investigators say 18-year-old Christopher Davis, of Hooven, was traveling well in excess of the speed limit when he rear-ended a pickup truck.
“The force of the collision ejected him from the motorcycle causing him to sustain serious injuries,” said ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.
Davis was rushed to a Cincinnati hospital where he pronounced dead.
Nobody else was hurt and the accident led to the westbound lanes being closed for about an hour.
