(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A New Directions employee is hoping to collect new items to be given to victims of domestic violence.
April Richards serves as a Domestic Violence Advocate as well as a Sexual Abuse Victims Advocate for the Greensburg-based domestic violence prevention organization.
“With that being said I'm looking to put together some go bags for when I'm called to the ER to be with a victim,” Richards said.
She has launched a donation drive where she is seeking new items (of all sizes) that include:
Leggings/sweats
T-shirt's/sweatshirts
sports bras
Panties
socks.
"I need sizes small, medium, large, extra large, and extra extra large,” Richards said. “I'm also looking for blankets to add to the bags.”
If you would like to make a donation, contact New Directions at (812) 662-8223 and a meeting location will be arranged.
If you prefer to give money so New Directions can purchase the items themselves, that is also available.
