New Marion Fire Dept. building pole barn for resident

(HOLTON, Ind.) – The New Marion Volunteer Fire Department is stepping up for the community in a unique way this week.

The volunteer firefighters are donating their time to build a pole barn for a resident in New Marion.

It’s an opportunity to give back to a community member while also raising funds for the department.

The homeowner will contribute $30,000 to the department to purchase a much-needed EMS/ First Responder vehicle.

We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the homeowner’s generosity,” said New Marion Fire Department President Scott Meisberger.

Community members can also support the fire department as they work to purchase the new truck. Call Meisberger at (812) 350-3250 if you would like to make a donation.

“Thank you for supporting your local volunteer firefighters and helping us improve the services we provide to our community,” Meisberger added.

The project is expected to be complete this week and the firefighters will respond to any emergencies if they occur.
