Takes place on Sunday

(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – A former member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association will be remembered during a memorial shoot this weekend.
50-year-old Mike Weissmann passed away in 2020. He was a firefighter in the Cincinnati-area who was known for hosting .22 fun shoots.
He brought the fun to the Walter Cline Range in Friendship and it quickly became a favorite event.
‘He spent countless hours preparing targets and gathering prizes for each shoot and developed quite a following of shooters and volunteers to help out on the range,” friends said.
The annual Mike Weissman Memorial Fun Shoot will take place on Sunday, August 24.
It begins at 9:30 a.m. with a safety meeting and shooting starts at 10 a.m.
There will be men’s, women’s and youth groups for score/peep, open sight, and pistol events.
“Bring your own firearm and ammo in .22 caliber only. The course will range from approximately 4 yard to 50 yards with 15 minute relays.
The shoot takes place as the 2025 NRA National Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette Championships is wrapping up, with another big event planned next month in Friendship.
