Nobody seriously hurt after small plane crash in Jefferson Co.

(HANOVER, Ind.) – Nobody was seriously hurt after a small airplane crash in Jefferson County on Wednesday night.
It happened around 7 p.m. in the area of River Bottom Road and Lee Bottom Airfield in Hanover.
Investigators say the Cessna 172 crashed shortly after takeoff from the airfield and struck a home.
A pilot and passenger in the place sustained minor injuries. Nobody on the ground was hurt.
The FAA and NTSB will investigate the cause of the crash.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Hanover Fire Department, Hanover Police Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, Jefferson County Emergency Management, and Norton’s King’s Daughters’ Hospital EMS, responded to the scene.
