Multiple crashes in the area on Tuesday

(LETTS, Ind.) – There have been a handful of crashes that have snarled traffic in the area on Tuesday. 

A semi overturned on eastbound I-74 in Ripley County near the 151 mile marker before 8 a.m. 

Meanwhile, nobody was seriously hurt after a box truck rolled over near Letts. 

The single-vehicle accident happened around 2 p.m. on State Road 3 near County Road 500 South. 

Letts VFD public information officer Alexis Carson said the box truck driver was taken to the hospital. 

The crash caused one lane of traffic to close for a short period of time.

There were also a pair of accidents in Dearborn County around 5 p.m. with one being on Stateline Road near Sand Run Road which led to a power outage and road closure.

Another crash occurred on U.S. 50 and Bellview Drive at the same time.
