(HOLTON, Ind.) – Any nonprofit organization that serves Holton is eligible for up to a $500 grant through the Ripley County Community Foundation.
The Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund was created after the devastating tornado in 2012 that claimed three lives. Following the tornado, the community foundation collected donations for the construction of a storm shelter.
Although the storm shelter was never built, the aid efforts led to the Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund which has grown over time.
Nonprofits are eligible to apply for funding in support of a charitable program or project. Applications will be accepted until June 30.
The application must be submitted virtually via the Ripley County Community Foundation website at https://rccfonline.org/grants/ no later than 11:59 PM on June 30th.
