(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – The North Dearborn Food Pantry has received a new freezer while donating their other one to a nonprofit.
The pantry received a grant from the Freestore Foodbank to purchase the 3-door upright freezer.
“This is a tremendous boost to both patrons and volunteers. Storing, sorting, and restocking our frozen food is much easier for the volunteers and gives us much more space for donations and for frozen items we can purchase at a discount,” the North Dearborn Food Pantry stated.
The donation allowed the pantry to donate their residential freezer to Harrison-based Pathways to Home, which provides serves to families living in poverty to help them toward self-sufficiency and well-being.
