North Dearborn Park receives $75K to build playground

(GUILFORD, Ind.) – North Dearborn Community Park is receiving a major donation to bring playground equipment to the new park. 

The park has been awarded $75,000 from the City of Lawrenceburg’s Community Grant Program.

The park is located at the site of the old North Dearborn Elementary School and is being created in two phases. The first phase was for a one-mile walking and biking path. 

The second phase will include playground equipment, including a sensory area and a potential basketball court and shelter. 

The funds will go toward new playground equipment as long as the organization provides proof it has secured additional funds to complete the playground project.
