(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – Oldenburg Academy hosted their annual Volley for Hope game on Monday night.
The initiative is led by coach Debbie Gregg and serves as a fundraiser for a local family.
They selected the family of Cooper Crain as the recipients of their fundraising this year. The infant was diagnosed with an aggressive Rhabdoid tumor and is receiving care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Cooper is undergoing chemotherapy for the foreseeable future and the unexpected medical situation has caused a financial strain on the family.
"All the players and families have donated gift cards to make a nice raffle and the people from both schools come out and support this," Gregg said. "We just want to lift up the Crain family in prayer as well as financially in anyway we can."
The annual Volley for Hope game raised more than $1,300 for the Crain family.
The Crain's were in attendance and honored before the start of the varsity game against Franklin County.
