Off-duty officer locates wanted man in Jennings County

(BUTLERVILLE, Ind.) – The Jennings County Sheriff's Department says an off-duty deputy was in the right place at the right time.
Police were searching for a man who was accused of battering a woman in the Butlerville area on Saturday.
The suspect was identified as Ethan Hall and deputies say he also had a felony arrest warrant through Jennings County for Child Support.
During the incident, Chief Deputy Cody Low, who was off duty at the time and spending time with his family.
Dispatchers called Low at the request of on-duty Deputies to make him aware of the situation.
“While speaking with Dispatch, Chief Deputy Low observed a male subject walking down a creek toward his location,’ the department stated.
Low identified Hall and was able to detain him until on-duty deputies arrived on the scene.
