Officials warn of scam text regarding unpaid traffic violations

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Several people have been receiving another scam text. 

It appears to come from a court and is in regard to unpaid parking and traffic violations. 

One of the documents makes it appear as if it is from the Marion County Superior Court. 

If you receive this text you are asked to ignore it. If you are unsure, contact the Clerks Office of which county it appears to be from. 

“Scammers can be very convincing. They call, email, and send us text messages trying to get our money or sensitive personal information — like our Social Security or account numbers,” stated the Federal Trade Commission.
