ORVC announces Players of the Week

(MILAN, Ind.) – The ORVC has released their weekly list of top performers for September 1-6.
Volleyball
Jac-Cen-Del’s Brookyln Simon and Milan’s Emma Voss have been named ORVC Volleyball Players of the Week.
Simon had a 79% serve rate, 4 aces, 36 KA’s and earned her 1,000th career assist.
Voss had a 98% serve rate with 15 aces, 16 kills, 4 blocks, 32 KA’s and 19 digs.
Cross Country
The top girls cross country athlete in the ORVC this past week was Switzerland County’s Claire Boggs. She finished with a time of 20:35 during a meet in Columbus North.
Milan’s Lucas Cooney was named the ORVC’s top male cross country athlete. He had a time of 16:57 during the Ripley County Invitational and a time of 17:08 at an East Central meet.
Girl's Golf
The top girls golfer last week was Switzerland County’s Alexis Mangold. She shot a 41 at the Sportsman’s Invitational and a 43 at Butler Falls.
Soccer
South Ripley’s Bryson Sipples was named ORVC co-player of the week. He had 3 goals and an assist against Hauser.
He shares the award with Southwestern’s Gus Grote who had 3 goals and an assist in two different matches.
On the girl’s side, Switzerland County’s Emma Parsons had 7 goals and an assist in three matches last week. Persona and the Pacers are currently ranked #3 in Class 1A Soccer in Indiana.
Parsons also found success off the field as she was named Switzerland County's Homecoming Queen on Friday!
