Parolee tried to stab victim in Madison, police said

(MADISON, Ind.) – A man on parole is accused of trying to stab someone in Madison.
Madison Police say 30-year-old Austen Riley was arrested after an investigation that began in the 700 block of Green Road.
Riley was arrested but was then taken to the hospital due to injuries. He was later medically-cleared to go to jail.
The prosecutor has charged him with Attempted Murder and Attempted Aggravated Battery.
“Austen Riley was on parole at the time of the offense for a 2018 Armed Robbery conviction, which also occurred in Madison,” officials said.
