(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Franklin County Council Member Brian Patterson is announcing his bid for county commissioner.
Patterson is seeking the District 2 Commissioner seat and the Primary will be held on May 5.
He is a lifelong Franklin County resident and is a small business owner.
“I believe county government must operate responsibly and transparently,” Patterson said. “Every tax dollar belongs to the people, and it is our duty to manage those dollars wisely while continuing to invest in critical infrastructure, public safety, and quality-of-life amenities that strengthen our communities.”
Patterson is committed to fiscal responsibility and balanced budgets, protecting Franklin County from overdevelopment, supporting first responders, having a transparent county government and pushing back against federal overreach.
He has been involved in long-term planning for county roads, bridge improvements, and the elimination of dangerous low-water crossings.
Patterson says he has consistently advocated for competitive bidding, strategic infrastructure planning, and policies that prioritize safety for emergency responders, school buses, and local families.
He is also committed to strengthening Franklin County’s park system and promoting a welcoming tourism environment that invites visitors to experience all our community has to offer—supporting local businesses and helping drive economic growth.
Patterson added that he is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and is pro-life candidate.
“Franklin County is worth protecting,” Patterson said. “We must be thoughtful and consistent in our vision to ensure our community remains a place where our children and grandchildren can live, work, and raise their families.”
