Peppertown boy reports ‘huge crash’ to The 812

Told his dad to call The 812 due to the massive crash

(PEPPERTOWN, Ind.) –This is one of the cutest story suggestions I’ve ever received here on The 812!

I don’t say it often enough but if you see breaking news in Southeast Indiana let me know!

4-year-old Whitt Fasbinder in Peppertown saw (and maybe created) breaking news tonight and took the appropriate steps of informing us.

Whitt called his father, Abe, into the bedroom and said, “Call The 812, We have a huge pile up right now!”

As you can see from the photo above, this crash in Peppertown would be quite the mess.

Franklin County deputies would be the first on the scene and I have no doubt that the 9-1-1 dispatchers in Brookville would also be paging Oldenburg Eagle and Metamora firefighters as well.

Letts EMS would also be rolling to the scene and TDS Heavy Towing would be needed to help with the cleanup.

Whitt may have noticed this as well, the driver of the quad looks like he might be considering leaving the scene of an accident. That would be very irresponsible!

Crash investigators tell us that they are searching for a vehicle believed to be responsible for the crash who sped away toward Oldenburg. Here is the truck they are looking for:

In all seriousness, it means so much to me that a 4-year-old would even know about The 812 or what we do! Great job, Whitt and thank you to your dad for sending this!
