(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A unique event in Lawrenceburg will spotlight pioneer life this weekend.
The Dearborn County Historical Society is hosting “Pioneer Day” at the Angevine Cabin, which is located at 406 West High Street in Lawrenceburg. It takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 27.
Attendees can observe what life was like in Indiana during the pioneer era, then tour the circa-1820 Angevine Cabin.
“The event is a great opportunity for visitors to explore early 1800s history and culture, with activities including special displays and demonstrations, live performances by the Forget Me Not Historical Dance Company and more,” organizers said.
New this year is a water area with scale-sized historical paddle wheeler boats that is provided by Queen City Scale Model Boaters.
