Authorities searching for suspect

(BROWNSTOWN, Ind.) – The Indiana State Police are asking the public for help as they search for a man who allegedly held up a bank in Jackson County last year.
36-year-old Jeremiah Bragg allegedly robbed a Brownstown bank at gunpoint in February 2024.
Police say Bragg and two other suspects were eventually pulled over on Vallonia Road.
“Bragg allegedly exited the vehicle holding a handgun and the cash. He soon thought better of it, dropped the gun, and was taken into custody,” ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.
On Monday, Bragg failed to appear for a court hearing in connection to the case, Wheeles added.
Police are actively accepting tips and searching for Bragg. Contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 358-2141 or the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post at (812) 689-5000.
