(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – A report of shots fired in Connersville led to the discovery of firearms and drugs on Thursday.
Connersville Police say 20-year-old John Evans Jr. fired a gun and a bullet went through a neighboring occupied apartment at the Town Terrace Apartments.
Investigators believe Evans was under the influence of THC and was showing the gun to family and friends when it discharged.
“The round traveled through the wall and into the adjoining apartment, where there were people present, however, there were no injuries from the round,” Connersville Police said.
Police say a search of the apartment led to them finding approximately 540 grams of raw marijuana, a large jar of THC wax, approximately 57 THC pens/cartridges, and approximately 14 packages of THC edible gummies.
“There were 20 firearms seized during the search, as well as 7 containers of suspected Tannerite for further investigation," investigators said.
Evans has been charged with Criminal Reckless as well as various charges related to illegal drugs.
