Police: Hand grenade found at Columbus home

The device was removed from the scene for further examination. The roadway is now open.
ORIGINAL STORY:
(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – Authorities in Columbus are investigating a possible explosive device on Saturday.
Police say a resident found a hand grenade while mowing at a home on County Road W 650 North.
The road between East Street and Depot Street has been closed as part of the investigation.
The Columbus Police Department’s Bomb Squad has been called to the scene as well.
