Police: Hit-and-run driver struck pedestrian in Decatur County

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver that struck a pedestrian in Decatur County. 

It happened around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday around the area of the 4800 block of East State Road 46. 

That section of road is between South County Road 480 East and South County Road 500 East. 

Decatur County deputies located the injured pedestrian in a ditch who appeared to be in significant pain. The victim was later flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment. 

A passenger-side mirror was located at the scene and may have come from the vehicle involved in the incident, investigators said.
