(MILAN, Ind.) – Police have identified the motorcyclist that was killed in a crash near Milan on Monday.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on State Road 350 near Wilmington Hills Drive, which is near the Ripley-Dearborn County line.
Indiana State Police say a 64-year-old Milan woman was driving eastbound when she slowed for another vehicle that was making a turn.
She was struck from behind by 55-year-old Augustus Reichman, of Greensburg, who was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, police said.
Despite lifesaving actions, Reichman was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Nobody was else injured in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing and police do not suspect alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.
The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team conducted the investigation and were assisted by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department and other area first responders
