One killed in I-74 crash in Decatur County Friday

Happened around 4:45 a.m.

UPDATE (9:20AM)

A woman was killed in the crash on eastbound I-74 in Decatur County this morning.

Greensburg Police say her vehicle was struck in the slow lane by a semi.

The identity of the woman has not been released and the driver of the tractor trailer has been cooperative with law enforcement.

The scene is still being cleaned up and is currently restricted due to crash reconstruction by the Indiana State Police. I-74 is expected to reopen today.

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Police are currently on the scene of a fatal crash on eastbound I-74 in Decatur County.

Authorities were called to the 133 mile marker near Greensburg shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.

Currently, only the right lane of eastbound I-74 is closed but that will change soon.

Eastbound I-74 will be closed fully as authorities conduct crash reconstruction investigation later this morning.

There will be a detour for eastbound drivers at Exit 132, police said.
