Police: Madison man stole $10K of items from garage

(MADISON, Ind.) – A man is accused of stealing approximately $10,000 worth of items from a property in Madison. 

Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Walnut Street after an alleged burglary occurred in an attached garage. 

Investigators say tools, computer equipment, a golf cart and a cell phone were among the items that were missing. 

“Upon realizing that the stolen items included a cell phone, the victims in the theft were able to track the phone’s location,” according to Madison Police. 

Police responded to a home on East First Street and spoke with 29-year-old Anthony Romans.

Romans allegedly admitted to stealing the items and has been arrested on a charge of felony Burglary.
