(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A Madison woman is accused of impaired driving and later providing breath samples that were more than double the legal limit.
North Vernon police located a vehicle they said was driving recklessly near Muscatatuck Park on Saturday.
“Officer Jessiah Watts observed it swerving between lanes, accelerating erratically, and nearly colliding with another vehicle,” police said.
A traffic stop was conducted on North State Street and police say 28-year-old Cassondra Lockridge showed signs of impairment.
“During the investigation, Lockridge admitted to consuming prescription medication prior to driving,” police said.
Police say they found Xanax pills during a search of the vehicle. Lockridge later provided a breath test which allegedly resulted in 0.194 BrAC.
Lockridge was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jennings County Jail.
