Police: Man threatened to shoot people at Brookville Lake Resort

(LIBERTY, Ind.) – An Ohio man was arrested after allegedly threatening people at Brookville Lake Resort in Union County around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies were called after receiving reports that the man had a gun and was threatening to shoot people who were on the scene.
“The caller also stated the suspect was attempting to break into multiple residences while armed with a firearm,” the Union County Sheriff’s Department stated.
Deputies arrived and said the suspect exited a house while holding the gun.
The deputies were able to successfully de-escalate the situation and the man dropped the gun.
Robert D. Griffin, of Blanchester, Ohio, was arrested without incident and nobody was hurt.
“The Union County Sheriff’s Department commends Deputy Neal, Deputy Bias, and assisting Officer Earl for their professionalism and coordination in safely resolving the incident,” the department stated.
