(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A man who is allegedly on the Sexually Violent Predator list is accused of entering a Jennings County school.
32-year-old Brandon Strickland entered the school while it was not in session and no children were present, police said.
School Resource Officer Alex Campbell became aware of the alleged incident and submitted evidence to the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office.
Deputies say they also learned Strickland had changed his address on the Sexual Registry to a residence he had not lived at for at least nine months.
Strickland was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with Unlawful Entry of School Property by a Serious Sex Offender and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
