Police: Meth found during drug raid in North Vernon

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Two people were arrested after North Vernon Police raided a home on Friday morning.
The search took place at a house on West Hayden Pike and was part of an ongoing task force drug investigation.
North Vernon officers say they found more than 40 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and other items associated with drug dealing.
Karren Brooks was charged with Dealing Methamphetamine along with other charges.
Robert Brooks was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine along with other charges.
“This case is another reminder of the damage illegal drugs cause to families and neighborhoods,” said North Vernon Police Chief Keith Messer. “We remain committed to working with our partners to identify, investigate, and remove drug dealers from our community.”
The North Vernon Police Department was assisted by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Child Services, and Animal Control.
