Pratt named director of Greensburg Arts Council

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A well-known historian and former Greensburg teacher has been named the part-time director of the Arts & Cultural Council of Decatur County.
John Pratt will lead the nonprofit which is dedicated to fostering creativity, supporting artists, and promoting cultural experiences in the county.
“This is a meaningful milestone for our organization and for arts and culture throughout Greensburg and Decatur County. After years of growth and the dedication of an all-volunteer Board, we’re thrilled to take this next step in expanding our impact,” the organization stated.
Pratt has been immensely involved in projects including the Decatur County Bicentennial Celebration, the Bill Smith Underground Railroad Festival, and the long-standing Chautauqua Series during his tenure as a Greensburg history teacher.
“He has a long-standing reputation for bringing people together, elevating stories, and helping arts and culture flourish in meaningful ways,” the organization added.
