Premature baby faces difficult journey with multiple hospitalizations

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg couple is hoping to receive support after giving birth to a premature baby. 

Parents Paige Fletcher and Marshall Beard say Nyla was born at 35 weeks and has been diagnosed with numerous different congenital defects. 

“Nyla has already faced multiple hospitalizations, urgent evaluations, and ongoing care from a wide range of specialists, including cardiology, pulmonology, ENT, genetics, and critical care,” the family said. 

They added, “Much of her life so far has been spent in the hospital, with repeated admissions and sudden emergencies whenever her breathing or feeding becomes unstable.”

A Go Fund Me has been organized to help the family with the financial burden of repeated hospitalizations, procedures, travel, and time away from work has quickly become overwhelming.
