Will be held at Batesville High School

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) - A public hearing regarding the proposed lane reduction project of State Road 46 in Batesville will be held Monday night.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is hosting the hearing which will be held at the Batesville High School cafeteria. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation is expected to start at 6 p.m.
INDOT officials say the hearing will allow for public comment regarding the project.
The proposed “right-sizing” project would reduce State Road 46 from four lanes to two lanes between Mitchell Avenue and Merkel Road.
Project officials say the goal is to enhance safety and minimize crashes in the area.
Attendees may want to arrive early as the Batesville FFA Banquet is also taking place at the school Monday night.
Handicap parking and access will be available behind the school.
