(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) will host their annual Day of Giving on Friday, November 7.
It’s an opportunity to support your favorite local organization or cause.
Donations made to endowed funds will be eligible for a match of $.50 for every $1 given.
Matching funds will be committed on a first-come, first-served basis and must be placed into an endowed fund of the donor's choice.
The maximum amount of matching dollars that each fund can receive is $5,000.
RCCF will also grant $50,000 back into the community as part of the Day of Giving.
“The hope of this event is to keep charitable gifts within the local community, ensuring that every dollar contributes directly to the betterment of the place we call home,” organizers said.
A point of focus this year will be equipping AED machines in every police car in Ripley County.
“Currently, none of Ripley County’s police cruisers are equipped with an AED machine. This initiative will provide our first responders with the critical equipment needed to act quickly and potentially save lives during a cardiac emergency” organizers said.
To reach this ambitious goal, RCCF will need to raise $72,772 on the Day of Giving.
To thank the community for its generosity, anyone who makes a gift of $50 or more to the AED Initiative during the Day of Giving will be entered into a drawing.
