Recent Jac-Cen-Del grad follows EMT passion

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – A recent Jac-Cen-Del graduate is following her passion as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. 

Cheyenne Cullen works for Ripley County EMS and volunteers with the Osgood Fire Department. 

Cullen got involve with the department's through the school’s work-based learning program where she followed the EMT pathway. 

Cheyenne completed her EMT coursework and successfully passed the Psychomotor State Skills Examination. She has also passed the National Registry Cognitive Exam.

Osgood Fire Chief Kyle Negangard says Cullen is an important member of the department and has an incredibly bright future.

“She makes a lot of emergency runs, always wants to learn more and isn’t afraid to get in there during tough times. She has already seen her share of nasty moments and still doesn’t back down. 

He added that he could see her potentially leading the department in the future.

Her long-term goal is to work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and become a flight nurse. 

“Her drive, determination, and passion for patient care position her well for a successful future in healthcare,” said Osgood Fire Chief Kyle Negangard.
