Registration ongoing for Swiss Wine Festival 5K

(VEVAY, Ind.) – Registration is underway for a 5K that will take place during the Swiss Wine Festival. 

The run/walk will begin and end at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park and will take place at 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 29.

The 3.1-mile route will begin along the Ohio River before going throughout Vevay.

All runners will be timed and awards will be given to the top two finishers in each of the seven age categories in both male and female divisions along with an overall winner male and female. Age Brackets are  14 and under, 15 thru 18, 19 thru 29, 30 thru 39, 40 thru 49, 50 thru 59, and 60+. 

There will also be awards for the top female and male walker. 

It’s a family-friendly event with random prizes as well. The 5K is being organized by the Switzerland County Pacer Varsity Cross Country team with all proceeds benefiting the program.
