(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Congresswoman Erin Houchin will seek re-election for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District.
Rep. Houchin represents 18 counties in southern Indiana including those here in Southeast Indiana.
She says she decided to seek re-election because her work isn’t finished.
“Since taking office, my team has helped return nearly $15 million to constituents across Indiana’s Ninth District through community project funding and constituent casework, making sure families, veterans, seniors, and small businesses get the help they deserve,” Rep. Houchin said.
She added that her focus is on the priorities of people in our area, who want affordable living, safe communities and a government that stays out of the way.
“Under Republican leadership, the House has delivered tax relief for working families, reasserted public safety, protected women and girls’ sports, rolled back federal overreach, and imposed fiscal discipline. But we have been digging out from under years of reckless spending, a wide-open border, and out-of-control inflation under Democratic control,” she said.
She said that the country faces a choice as America's 250th birthday approaches.
“We can continue restoring American strength and fighting for conservative principles, or we can surrender our future to radical policies that have already failed. I am committed to making sure America chooses freedom and prosperity for generations to come," she said.
