(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Local soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice will continue to be honored and not forgotten.
The 16th annual Ride to Remember this weekend is a two-day 300 mile motorcycle trip that stops by cemeteries and other locations to honor soldiers and their Gold Star families.
“More than a ride, this event honors each Fallen Hero with a personalized ceremony,” organizer Tim Kieffer said.
He added, “You do not need to ride a motorcycle to participate, nor do you have to attend all scheduled stops. All that is asked is your sincere Respect.”
The Ride to Remember begins at Liberty Park to honor Sgt. Chad Keith at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 13.
It will then go to Sunman, Aurora, Bennington, Madison, Scottsburg, Sellersburg, Clarksville, New Albany, Heltonville, Brownstown, Vernon and Versailles.
