Rising Sun boy raises $1,100 for Shriners Children's

(RISING SUN, Ind.) –  A Rising Sun boy volunteered his time to support kids that are at Shriners Children's Hospital in Lexington this past weekend.

6-year-old Kannan Brady set up a lemonade stand at the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge during the community-wide yard sale on Saturday. 

He sold lemonade for $1 a cup and it resulted in Kannan raising $1,100 for the nonprofit pediatric specialty facility in Kentucky. 

This is the second consecutive year that Kannan has hosted a lemonade stand and his goal this year was to raise at least $1,000. 

He is the son of Kylah and Jason and they say Kannan did this because he really enjoys helping other people. 

On Saturday, the Southeastern Indiana Shrine Club stopped by the lemonade stand and said, “Thank you for all you do and Thanks to his amazing parents for raising such a great kiddo!”
