Rising Sun Foundation gifts $216K in second quarter grants

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – The Rising Sun Regional Foundation has awarded $216,450 in new grants to 13 local organizations.
Here are the second quarter recipients:
Aberdeen-Pate Water Company, $30,000 for SCADA Control Systems update
American Legion Post 337, $4,000 for water storage and safety improvements for its FEMA shelter
Batesville Area Resource Center, $15,000 for roof replacement
Friendship Regional Sewer District, $7,000 for a lawn mower
Kids Discovery Factor, $30,000 for The Honey Factory Early Learning Exhibit
Lifetime Resources, $7,250 matching funds for small transit vehicle replacement
Midwest Equine Trail Foundation, $2,500 for trail drainage repair at Versailles State Park
Ohio County Rescue Services, $6,200 for equipment modernization
Oldenburg Academy, $10,000 for an Innovation and Design Lab
Ripley County Community Foundation, $40,000 matching funds for The Lilly Endowment GIFT initiative
Rising Sun Municipal Utilities $30,000 for sewer screening equipment
Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation, $24,500 for a snow truck
Town of Sunman, $10,000 for a Safe Stream monitoring system
Applications are being accepted for their third quarter grant and the deadline is July 15.

RSRF has reinvested nearly $47 million to projects, organizations and scholarships for people in Ohio County, Ripley County, and the cities of Aurora and Batesville since 1994.
