(RISING SUN, Ind.) – Children can write letters to Santa this holiday season through the Ohio County Tourism office.
The letters can be brought in during normal business hours and there is also a red mailbox at the visitors center, which is located at 217 North High Street in Rising Sun.
Letter writers will receive a response from the North Pole if received by Saturday, December 13.
“Youths may write Santa correspondence on their own paper, however, must include their name and address to receive a response. No postage is required if dropped off at the red box located at the Visitors Center. One letter per youth,” said Ohio County Tourism executive director Kendal Miller.
The tourism office will also host the Merry Little Christmas Celebration from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 13.
Santa will be in the Santa House from 5-7 p.m. and other activities include free carriage rides, arts and crafts vendors, music, free hot chocolate and sugar cookies.
