(CARTHAGE, Ind.) – Rush County authorities have arrested a man that had two outstanding warrants.
Police say 62-year-old Richard King was wanted for felony charges including Intimidation and Failure to Appear.
Investigators received information that King was staying at a house on Woods Campground in Carthage.
A search warrant was granted and police went to the property.
They ordered two people out of the house and one person confirmed that King was inside the home, police said.
“Robert King was ordered to come out of the residence but refused. Deputies then approached the house and observed King to be inside,” Rush County Sheriff Allen Rice said.
Deputies eventually entered the home and took King into custody without incident.
He was booked into the Rush County Jail with an additional charge of Resisting Law Enforcement.
The sheriff's office was assisted by the Rushville Police Department.
