S.R. 156 near Patriot to close until mid-July

(PATRIOT, Ind.) – A portion of State Road 156 in Switzerland County is expected to be closed for a few months beginning on Monday, April 6. 

Crews will conduct a slide correction project between Gridley Road and North Branch Road near Patriot. 

INDOT officials estimate that the road will be reopen in mid-July.

During the closure, drivers should use the official detour route, which follows S.R. 56 to S.R. 250 back to S.R. 156.

This project is part of a $4.8 million contract awarded to Paul H. Rohe in February 2024.
