S.R. 3 speed limit to increase near Vernon

(VERNON, Ind.) – The speed limit is scheduled to increase on State Road 3 near Vernon this month. 

It will be changed from 30 miles-per-hour to 40 miles-per-hour in the area around the S.R. 3 and State Road 7 intersection south of Vernon.

The Indiana Department of Transportation said this change follows a traffic study in the area. 

The speed limit changes are expected to take place on or after Tuesday, August 25.
