Search continues for missing Jennings County woman Monday

(PARIS CROSSING, Ind.) – Authorities are providing an update in regard to the search for a missing Jennings County woman. 

A Silver Alert was issued for 54-year-old Lisa Bedel who was last seen in the Hoosier Hilltoppers area on Saturday. 

Authorities say she could be in danger and may require medical assistance.  

First responders searched for Bedel until 1 a.m. and then continued the search at daylight. 

Today, search operations are focusing on the area of the 10000 block of South County Road 410 West, near Hoosier Hilltoppers.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to avoid that area unless you live nearby.

“We have highly trained K-9 search teams working in the area, and additional foot traffic can unintentionally disrupt their ability to effectively conduct their searches,” they said.

All available resources are being utilized as multiple agencies are involved in the search operation, the department added. 

“We understand how deeply concerned Lisa’s family, friends, and our community are, and we are doing everything within our ability to locate Lisa and bring her home safely,” the department stated.

54-year-old Lisa Bedel was reported missing from the Hoosier Hilltoppers area in Jennings County on Sunday. 

She is described as 5’6, 150 pounds with red hair and last known wearing a pink shirt and black sweatpants.
