Severe weather possible Wednesday afternoon, evening

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – We could experience some severe weather in Southeast Indiana on Wednesday. 

A line of thunderstorms could produce damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and heavy rain in the evening hours. 

Chris Phillips with Weather Pulse said, "Now is the time to start thinking ahead for late Wednesday night into Thursday morning if you like to prepare. I think widespread damaging winds and even tornadoes are on the table."

Forecasters added that the heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding as well. 

“Outside of thunderstorms, winds may gust to around 40 mph Wednesday afternoon and evening,” National Weather Service forecasters said. 

The extended forecast shows rain possible Thursday while the weekend is shaping up to be sunny with temperatures in the 70’s.
