Shelbyville swears in new police chief

(SHELBYVILLE, Ind.) – The City of Shelbyville has a new police chief.
Former Shelby County Sheriff Louie Koch was sworn-in to the department’s top job on Monday.
Koch is a lifelong Shelby County resident who brings more than 27 years of experience to the job.
“My commitment to Shelby County extends far beyond my career in law enforcement,” he said. “I’ve remained active in our community, supporting local initiatives, engaging with families, and working to strengthen the place we all love.”
